Greenbank & Carnatic Student Village

The price for Greenbank and Carnatic Student Village is slightly cheaper than those on campus. They offer both catered or self-catered for the students. It is situated 3-4 miles (or 7-8 kilometres) away from the campus. It will took approximately 45 minutes walk to reach the campus.

However, bus services are available between the campus and the student village. Be aware that students need to pay for the bus services themselves as it is not covered by the rent.

Greenbank Student Village

Greenbank student village consists of two halls of residences, namely Roscoe and Gladstone Halls and Derby and Rathbone Halls. It is located about 3 miles off campus and it is a 15-minute bus journey.

The rooms in Greenbank are of a decent size and are equipped with a sink and a single bed. The toilet and shower however is shared by the whole flat and is cleaned daily by staff. With Sefton Park just nearby, Greenbank is the place to stay if you enjoy nature and greenery.

Greenbank is located within walking distance to both Tesco express and Asda. There will not be any proper cooking facilities in the catered student’s kitchen so it will be best to opt for the self-catered option if you fancy cooking. The 699 bus runs from Greenbank to central university from 8am to midnight everyday however this service will not be available over the Christmas period.

One down side of using the busses is that you will not be able to pull an all-nighter in the library. The annual bus pass will cost you around 320 pounds and can be used on all Arriva busses in the North west of England which might be quite usefull if your course demands the need to travel around abit.
